Trypherogenes is a genus of moth in the family Gelechiidae. It contains the species Trypherogenes chrysodesma, which is found in Indonesia (Sulawesi). The wingspan is about 19 mm. The forewings are dark fuscous with white slightly inwards-oblique marks on the costa at the middle and two-thirds, where slender light brownish straight transverse streaks run to the fold, a similar light brownish bar between these on the end of the cell. There is a violet-golden-metallic pre-marginal streak around the apex, termen, and the tornus to the lower end of the second transverse streak. The hindwings are dark fuscous with a pale brownish transverse spot at one-third, not quite reaching the margins.
