Megachirella wachtleri

Wikipedia Abstract

Megachirella is an extinct genus of lepidosauromorph reptile from the Middle Triassic and contains one species, Megachirella wachtleri, from the Dolomites of northern Italy. Megachirella is known from a partial skeleton that was described in 2003. A phylogenetic analysis in 2013 confirmed that it was a lepidosauromorph closely related to crown group Lepidosauria, the clade whose living representatives are lizards, snakes, and the tuatara.
