Archaeopsittacus is a genus of prehistoric parrot. It is known from deposits of either Late Oligocene or Early Miocene age (c. 23 mya) at Verreaux near Saint-GĂ©rand-le-Puy, France. A single species, Archaeopsittacus verreauxi,is known.
