In music, the schisma (also spelled skhisma) is the interval between a Pythagorean comma (531441:524288) and a syntonic comma (81:80) and equals 32805:32768, which is 1.9537 cents (). It may also be defined as: \n* the difference between 8 justly tuned perfect fifths plus a justly tuned major third and 5 octaves; \n* the difference between major limma and Pythagorean limma; \n* the difference between the syntonic comma and the diaschisma. Tempering out the schisma leads to schismatic temperament.
