Turdus daguae (Dagua Thrush)

The white-throated thrush (Turdus assimilis) is a species of bird in the family Turdidae. It is found in Belize, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and the United States. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is common in its range and an extremely rare vagrant into Texas; 2 sightings have been recorded (in 1990 and 1998). There are 11 subspecies, some of which are treated as separate species by some authorities.
