Pyropelta is a genus of small sea snails, deep-water limpets, marine gastropod mollusks in the family Pyropeltidae. The name Pyropelta is from the Greek; it means "fire limpet" because these small deepwater limpets live near hot hydrothermal vents and similar habitat.
