(Further information: Polychaete) Australonuphis, commonly called Australian beach worms, are a genus of annelid commonly used as bait by anglers. Some species can grow more than a metre in length. They are blind but have a very good sense of smell, and eat decaying meat, fish and seaweeds that have washed to shore.
