The Agaricostilbales are an order of fungi in the class Agaricostilbomycetes of the division Basidiomycota. They are further classified in the subclass phragmobasidiomycetidae, which contains fungi with basidia (spore-producing cells) that are divided by septa. The order consists of 3 families, 9 genera, and 43 species. The genus Mycogloea is assigned to the Agaricostilbales, although it is of uncertain placement with respect to its family.
