Established by Adolf Bernhard Meyer and Lionel William Wiglesworth in 1895, it contains the following species: \n* Dark-eared myza (Myza celebensis) \n* White-eared myza (Myza sarasinorum) The name Myza comes from the Greek word muzaƍ, meaning "to suck".
