Margarornis is the genus of treerunners, birds in the family Furnariidae. Established by Ludwig Reichenbach in 1853, it contains the following species: \n* Ruddy treerunner, Margarornis rubiginosus \n* Star-chested treerunner, Margarornis stellatus \n* Beautiful treerunner, Margarornis bellulus \n* Pearled treerunner, Margarornis squamiger The genus name Margarornis is composed of two Greek words:margaron, meaning "pearl" and ornis, meaning "bird".
