Chiasmocleis (Frog)

Synonyms: Nectodactylus; Relictus; Syncope; Unicus

Wikipedia Abstract

Chiasmocleis is a genus of microhylid frogs. They are found in tropical South America (north and east of the Andes) as well as in southern Central America, in Panama. Their common name is humming frogs. The genus, as defined earlier, was found to be polyphyletic. To remedy this, some species have been transferred to Elachistocleis and Syncope.
