Wikipedia Abstract

Buthraupis is a genus of South American birds in the tanager family. The two species are found in highland forest, woodland and shrub in the Andes and Santa Marta Mountains. They are among the largest tanagers, and all have a mainly yellow, blue and black plumage. As currently defined, the genus is polyphyletic.
