The medium dagger moth (Acronicta modica) is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from Ontario and Quebec south to Arizona and Texas. It has also been recorded from Pennsylvania, Maryland, Iowa and Wisconsin. The wingspan is about 35 mm. The larvae feed on Quercus species.
