Members are found in the Solomon Islands or in the case of the Black-bellied Fruit Bat, in Papua New Guinea.It contains the following species: \n* Orange fruit bat, Melonycteris aurantius (now considered the same species with Woodford's fruit bat) \n* Fardoulis' blossom-bat, Melonycteris fardoulisi \n* Black-bellied fruit bat, Melonycteris melanops \n* Woodford's fruit bat, Melonycteris woodfordi
